Specialised Advanced Training Course (MIC II), July 2010

Ten participants successfully completed the three-day specialised advanced training course in gynaecological endoscopy (MIC II) from 5th – 7th July 2010. This course focussed on uterus myomatosus and operative hysteroscopy.

The participants were able to implement the new insights obtained in the live surgery sessions on models and animal organs in the practical sessions.
In addition to lectures given by Professor Liselotte Mettler, Dr. Ibrahim Alkatout, Mrs Ines Poggensee (Johnson & Johnson Medical) and Dr. Thoralf Schollmeyer, Professor Stefan Müller-Hülsbeck, director of the Department of Radiology at the Diako in Flensburg, also contributed to the success of the training course with an informative lecture on “Myoma embolization”.
