Standard Training Course (MIC I), March 2010
The KIEL SCHOOL's first training course of the year took place from 1st - 5th March. A number of innovations awaited our new trainees. For the first time we were able to demonstrate the single-port technique on two trainers especially designed for this purpose. The newly arrived Storz "HD Tower" provided an excellent image and made practising even more fun.
Even though it was a "beginners" course, the operating programme was studded with surprises. A wide spectrum of endoscopic operations, from Appendectomy to cerviX extirpation, could be observed live. With 7 pelvi-trainers in the practical sessions, the participants were able to implement on models and animal organs the new insights obtained in the live surgery sessions.
