Training Course successful
The international training course from 10-14th September finished successfully last Friday. All participants were able to observe 4-5 live operations daily. In the afternoons, besides practical demonstrations, different knotting techniques were trained on the pelvitrainer, the virtual reality trainer and on animal organs.
During the five-day course organ-preserving and ablative procedures were demonstrated on all organs of the female genital tract. In addition to laparoscopic hysterectomies (LASH and TLH), organ-preserving surgery (myoma enucleation) was performed. Ablative techniques and organ-preserving techniques (dermoid, adnexal torsion) in adnexal surgery were also demonstrated. Hysteroscopy and endometrial ablation (NovaSure) completed the surgical programme.
In addition to operative procedures, the course participants were also able to get a glimpse of Kiel from the water. The sailing trip on the “Okeanos” was definitely a highlight of the week for our guests. The following doctors successfully completed the course and received their diplomas:
