trainerOur third training course this year, the Indo-German training course in gynaecological endoscopy, successfully finished on June 7th. Through attendance at live operations, seminars and practical training on conventional and virtual reality simulators, the 40 doctors from India were able to improve their knowledge and laparoscopic skills.

International faculty members and instructors from the Kiel Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology provided an interesting programme. All participants successfully completed the course and received the diploma of the Kiel School of Gynaecological Endoscopy. We would like to thank the nurses, the staff of the endocopy office and all doctors who contributed to the success of the course. Subsequently, all participants attended the two-day symposium held in Kiel in honour of Professor Liselotte Mettler. A separate report follows on the International Symposium on Hysterectomies and the Kiel School of Gynaecological Endoscopy Alumni Meeting from June 7-10th 2007.
